VAN BUREN---Donald B. Franck, 73, died Aug. 6, 2012 at a Van Buren health care facility. He was born in Van Buren, Sept. 13, 1938, the son of James and Alma (Gagnon) Franck, Sr. Don was a 1957 graduate of Van Buren Boys High School. He worked in the family business for most of his life, owning and operating Jimmy’s Market in Van Buren for five years. He then worked as a meat cutter for his brother at Jimmy’s Foods for over 25 years. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Rena (Gagnon) Franck of Van Buren; one brother, James Franck, Jr. of Van Buren Cove at Long Lake; three sisters Joan Bauer of San Diego, CA, Rochelle Chawner of Long Island, NY and Vivian Franck of Portland. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
