GILBERT ROY
VAN BUREN---Gilbert Roy, 76, died Sept. 27, 2009 at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born in Hamlin, Oct. 16, 1932, the son of Edmund and Cecile (Morin) Roy. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Gilbert worked for many years as a welder and pipefitter. He is survived by nine children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; five brothers and one sister. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clauda (Levesque) Roy in 1972, by a son-in-law, Stephen Maglio, by two grandsons, Joel Maglio and Kyle Wellman, and by a brother, Claude Roy. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, from 6 to 9 PM on Thursday and 9:30 AM until time of service on Friday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
